3D Face Reconstruction with Geometry Details from a Single Image
نویسندگان
چکیده
3D face reconstruction from a single image is a classical and challenging problem, with wide applications in many areas. Inspired by recent works in face animation from RGBD or monocular video inputs, we develop a novel method for reconstructing 3D faces from unconstrained 2D images, using a coarse-to-fine optimization strategy. First, a smooth coarse 3D face is generated from an example-based bilinear face model, by aligning the projection of 3D face landmarks with 2D landmarks detected from the input image. Afterwards, using global corrective deformation fields, the coarse 3D face is refined using photometric consistency constraints, resulting in a medium face shape. Finally, a shape-from-shading method is applied on the medium face to recover fine geometric details. Our method outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in terms of accuracy and detail recovery, which is demonstrated in extensive experiments using real world models and publicly available datasets.

Automatic, Effective, and Efficient 3D Face Reconstruction from Arbitrary View Image
In this paper, we propose a fully automatic, effective and efficient framework for 3D face reconstruction based on a single face image in arbitrary view. First, a multi-view face alignment algorithm localizes the face feature points, and then EM algorithm is applied to derive the optimal 3D shape and position parameters. Moreover, the unit quaternion based pose representation is proposed for ef...
متن کاملUltra-Fast Image Reconstruction of Tomosynthesis Mammography Using GPU
Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is a technology that creates three dimensional (3D) images of breast tissue. Tomosynthesis mammography detects lesions that are not detectable with other imaging systems. If image reconstruction time is in the order of seconds, we can use Tomosynthesis systems to perform Tomosynthesis-guided Interventional procedures. This research has been designed to study u...
متن کاملFast System Matrix Calculation in CT Iterative Reconstruction
Introduction: Iterative reconstruction techniques provide better image quality and have the potential for reconstructions with lower imaging dose than classical methods in computed tomography (CT). However, the computational speed is major concern for these iterative techniques. The system matrix calculation during the forward- and back projection is one of the most time- cons...
متن کاملSelf-supervised Multi-level Face Model Learning for Monocular Reconstruction at over 250 Hz
The reconstruction of dense 3D models of face geometry and appearance from a single image is highly challenging and ill-posed. To constrain the problem, many approaches rely on strong priors, such as parametric face models learned from limited 3D scan data. However, prior models restrict generalization of the true diversity in facial geometry, skin reflectance and illumination. To alleviate thi...
متن کامل3D Face Reconstruction from Light Field Images: A Model-free Approach
Reconstructing 3D facial geometry from a single RGB image has recently instigated wide research interest. However, it is still an ill-posed problem and most methods rely on prior models hence undermining the accuracy of the recovered 3D faces. In this paper, we exploit the Epipolar Plane Images (EPI) obtained from light field cameras and learn CNN models that recover horizontal and vertical 3D ...
